In this episode of Leading Well, Jeremy Couch interviews Mark Goldstein, president of the Central Florida Christian Chamber. In 2009, Mark took over the struggling organization and re-built it with a new vision centered on relationships. Ten years later, the Christian Chamber is a thriving organization that serves the Central Florida business and faith community. In this interview, Mark talks about his journey of taking over the Chamber and believing in faith that God had called him to lead this organization into a new future. Mark provides some great tips and insights on trusting God and believing in a vision that is bigger than you.
How would you characterize the culture of your organization or team?

Recently I had the opportunity to interview Robbie Harper of Blue Bridge Public Relations on my Leading Well Podcast, and we talked about his journey of stepping out on his own, taking a risk, and pursuing what he has felt called to do. It was an inspiring and insightful conversation.
If you’ve been feeling held back by your career, like you are not where you are supposed to be, or if you are doing work that is unfulfilling, then this interview could be helpful to you.
And if you have already taken that leap of faith to pursue your purpose and do what you feel called to do, then this interview will probably be an encouragement to you.
Life is short, and finding purpose and meaning in our work is often elusive. This is due in large part to our unwillingness to take risks and put ourselves out there beyond our comfort zone. I am inspired by Robbie’s willingness to lead the way in showing us what it means to step out in faith.

As we near the end of the first quarter of 2019, it’s a great time to pause and reflect on how you are progressing on your goals for the year. It’s so easy to give up on your goals when you don’t feel like you’re making progress, but taking some time to reflect and recommit is so important. Even if you are making small strides, you need to celebrate and build on that.
Otherwise, you can easily talk yourself out of staying the course. You might just throw in the towel and convince yourself it’s not worth it. Sometimes we’re more comfortable with where we are today because doing the hard work to actually achieve our goals in the future can be uncomfortable.
Don’t give up! Stay committed and focused on pursuing the goals you set for yourself. You set them for a reason. You just have to remind yourself why!
Here’s a brief podcast I recently recorded on this topic to help encourage you.
